Martinez History Day

Martinez, CA (where I grew up) is a pretty old city with a lot of history. It's probably most well known for being the town where John Muir lived. His house has been turned into a museum in downtown Martinez. My dad has lived in Martinez for like 100 years and had never been to the house, so my sister and I took him over the Christmas holiday.

More interesting facts:

1. Joe Dimaggio was born in Martinez

2. Marinez is said to be the place where the martini was invented
3. There are a ton of great antique stores downtown

The Sing Off

So, I have a new favorite show...I don't know how I missed The Sing Off last season, but I am so happy I found it! I just wish there was more singing and less commentary from the judges (they are ridiculous). This show makes me want to join an a cappella group immediately. Here's a compilation of the Beelzebubs from season 1. LOVE!
